Welcome
John Lawrence’s unique style spans the many subject areas where he finds interest and beauty. Of course, he draws the stimulation for his paintings from the subjects themselves, but the spectacular scenery surrounding his Southern Ireland home is a particular source of inspiration.
It’s not only Ireland that inspires John’s painting. Regular sojourns to Provence and Southern Italy result in wonderful land, sea and cityscapes and snapshots of life, all capturing the unique light, atmosphere and essence of these regions.

John's exhibitions always solicit a hugely enthusiastic response, as collectors of his work return each year to keep up with his travels and to enjoy the progression of his work. This work has become more vibrant and more daring as John increasingly moves from a predominantly figurative approach towards a more interpretive representation of his memories and feelings for the beautiful places he has visited.
